Living with a Grateful Heart

I so desire to be a person who sees life through a focused lens of gratitude, constantly striving to see life as Jesus sees it—to see the beauty of life around us. This doesn’t mean life is perfect or even close. It doesn’t mean we don’t struggle or face hardship; the opposite is often true.

So many of us have faced difficult circumstances: grief, death, cancer, broken relationships, and more. Our feelings have been a roller coaster of emotions—the whole gamut, from happiness to bitterness to joy to unthinkable pain. Being rooted in gratitude doesn’t mean we downplay or disregard these very real realities. It means that in every single circumstance, we cling to Jesus.

It’s a deliberate choice to clothe our hearts and minds with an attitude of gratitude. Gratitude, not complaining.

I love you, and there’s nothing you can do about it. 🧡
