Anchored in God's Stability

“He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.” - ‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Our emotions swing us back and forth; our passions toss us around like waves; our desires launch us forward, then backward... and all of that is just inside of us! Now consider the changes that happen in the world. If you stay in the same city long enough, you will see neighborhoods change, people come and go, and fads constantly pass.

We, as humans, clearly need stability! God created us to be guided by a relationship with Him. We are designed to be dependent on the unchanging, anchor-like Creator who can guide us through all the changes we face.

James wrote that those who believe in Jesus are God's "prized possession" (James 1:18). God wants to be our anchor and guide. And let's face it—we need Him!
