Eyes on Eternity
“Time is short. Eternity is long. It is only reasonable that this short life be lived in the light of eternity.” — Charles Spurgeon
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” - 2 Corinthians 4:18 NIV
We get caught up in the day-to-day. Schedules, deadlines, bills, plans. It is easy to forget that this life is not the end but the beginning.
Paul reminds us to fix our eyes on what is eternal. The unseen things. The kingdom of God. The promises of heaven. The hope we have in Christ.
When we live with eternity in mind, everything shifts. Our decisions become more intentional. Our values change. Our hearts soften toward people. We spend less time worrying and more time worshiping.
Today, let your focus be realigned. Look past what is in front of you. Set your eyes on what lasts forever.
This world is not your home. You are just passing through. Keep your eyes on eternity.
