Gifts

“This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” - ‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If we’ve been around the word of God for any length of time, we should understand that a disciple is one who walks in the dust of the rabbi learning from him and serving him. But then we must move into disciple maker role, that is teaching others to love God, love people, and serve God by serving people with our gifts .

Today’s gift is the gift of “Service”.

The servant loves the opportunities they get to serve and meet the needs of others. It brings them energy and purpose in their daily lives. To understand the person with the gift of serving is also to know that they’re willing to sign up for just about anything. Because, they may struggle with pleasing people and then forget to ask God if this service opportunity is what God would have them do. We also need to understand that if the service gifted person is abused and hurt, they can become vicious in their anger. Servant, gifted people can become trapped in “doing” to the point of bringing physical harm to themselves and causing dissension in their family.

Practical application for today is “don’t” take advantage of the person with the gift of service. We shouldn’t do that regardless of their gifts, but this gift can be highly offended when taken for granted..

Team Wade loves you and is praying for you 👊❤️
