Letting God Lead
“He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.” Proverbs 16:32
We often measure strength by how much we can control: our circumstances, outcomes, or even other people. But God’s Word flips that idea upside down. Proverbs 16:32 teaches that true strength isn’t about force or domination; it’s about surrender. The greatest victory isn’t taking a city; it’s yielding our spirit to God.
When we try to run life on our own terms, anger rises, anxiety grows, and pressure builds. But when we allow God to be in control, He teaches us restraint, patience, and trust. Ruling our spirit doesn’t mean white-knuckling self-control; it means letting the Holy Spirit guide our reactions, decisions, and pace.
Choosing God’s control frees us from the exhausting need to manage everything ourselves. It allows us to respond instead of react, to trust instead of strive. In surrender, we discover that God’s leadership produces a strength far greater than anything we could achieve on our own.
Team Wade loves you and is praying for you ❤️👊
