“For no one is abandoned by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he also shows compassion because of the greatness of his unfailing love.” - Lamentations 3:31-32 NLT

Hope in the Pit

Life is tough, and no amount of faith makes us immune to pain, suffering, and despair. Like Jeremiah’s experience in Lamentations, we might feel as if we are in a very deep pit. No matter how dark the pit or how distant we feel from God, like Jeremiah, we can call upon God, and He will hear us. He will come to us and help us with our fears. We know this because God’s mercies are new every morning for as long as mornings are part of life. God’s unending love is surprising, but it is very real.
