The Spirit Is Willing

“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭41‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus tells His disciples to watch and pray to avoid temptation, highlighting the struggle between spiritual desires and physical limitations. This statement reflects the disciples' genuine intention to support Jesus in prayer, yet their physical exhaustion led them to fall asleep instead. The phrase emphasizes the conflict between the inner spiritual strength and the weaknesses of the human body.
