Content but Not Complacent

“If you are not content with what you have, you would not be satisfied if it were doubled.” — Charles Spurgeon

“Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it.” — 1 Timothy 6:6–7 NLT

There's a big difference between satisfaction and containment. My desire is to never be satisfied with where I'm at, but long to be better and more Christ-like in all things. But I am learning to be content with that which God has given me. To be good stewards of it. All the while I pray for Him to give me more.

1. More peace

2. Greater financial wealth to share with the world

3. Greater love for those around me

But more importantly, greater love for Jesus than I've ever had.

Above all, I simply want to know Jesus more!
