Vital Signs: Wednesday, June 26, 2024

Have you ever walked past a homeless person and wondered how did they get there? I have. I've even preached in prison and wondered how I escaped the striped suit. I've even ignored the beggar at the red light. I have criticized those who committed suicide with the statement of how selfish it was to do so. I've walked on five of the seventh continents and seen poverty at its worst. And still today I wonder why them and not me?

I believe when busyness and self-centeredness become our lifestyle, it becomes easy to turn our backs on people and judge what is not the norm for us?

May we forever remember that Jesus came for the broken, and that includes us . May we dare to get our hands dirty, serving the broken and the lost.

We all stand on even ground when it comes to our need to be rescued

“For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.””
