The Light Still Shines
“We are not called to be candles. The candles can be blown out. We are called to be the sun, radiating the light of God in all seasons.” — Charles Spurgeon
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” - John 1:5 NIV
Darkness has a way of creeping in quietly. Disappointment, grief, temptation, stress...they can dim our perspective and weigh down our hearts. But the light of Christ still shines. Always!
John reminds us that darkness cannot overcome the light. Not then, not now, not ever. That means no matter what you are facing today, His light is stronger. His truth is brighter. His love is deeper.
You do not have to generate your own light. Just stay close to the source. Let your life reflect the One who has already overcome the night. The light still shines in you, through you, and for you.
