What is Your Why?

“Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.” - ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43‬:‭7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The same question I posed to a group of young men today I will pose to us in this devotional.

What is our why?

Who is the “our”?

The everyone called by my name that Isaiah is speaking of is believers, Christians, little Christ, Christ’s ambassadors. We are the ones that Isaiah speaks of. But then he gives us the answer to a question we often ask: “Why are we here?”

The answer is simple. The answer is we are here to “glorify God.” However, how we do that may vary, through our jobs, through our actions of servanthood, the way we speak to people, the way we live our lives. Yes, as ambassadors for Christ, we are to be a little heaven on earth, light in a dark world.

I get it, we fall short, we make mistakes, we blow it, but the grace of Christ and forgiveness of Christ cover our humanness, and the blood of Jesus and the Spirit of God empower us to do that which we cannot do on our own. Let me encourage us today. Rather than be trapped focusing on the million things that need to be done, may our focus be on why we are here and why we exist.

Let us, in everything we say and do, bring glory to the King of kings and the Lord of lords. May that be our focus!

Team Wade loves you and is praying for you 👊❤️
