Defeating the Attack of the Enemy
Allow me to begin with this reminder: when our hyper-focus is on the enemy, we begin to nibble at the bait of fear. We must constantly remind ourselves that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. This must be our hyper-focus.
How?
- Constant prayer
- Constantly being in the Word
- Fasting
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” — Romans 8:37 (NKJV)
The enemy often attacks through fear, doubt, temptation, discouragement, and lies. His goal is to weaken your faith and distract you from God’s promises. But as a believer, you are not fighting for victory—you are fighting from victory. Jesus has already defeated the enemy through His death and resurrection.
When spiritual attacks come, remember that God has equipped you with everything you need to stand firm. The enemy may whisper that you are defeated, abandoned, or too weak—but God’s Word declares otherwise.
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper…” — Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)
Your defense is not your own strength—it is the armor of God. Put on truth when lies come. Hold up faith when fear rises. Speak the Word when temptation knocks. Pray when anxiety presses in.
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” — Ephesians 6:11 (NKJV)
The enemy cannot overcome a believer who remains rooted in Christ. Every attack can become an opportunity to witness God’s power, faithfulness, and deliverance.
Heavenly Father, thank You that through Jesus, I have victory over every attack of the enemy. Strengthen my heart and mind today. Help me recognize the enemy’s lies and replace them with Your truth. Clothe me with Your full armor so I can stand firm in faith. I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and I trust You to fight my battles. Fill me with peace, courage, and unwavering confidence in Your power. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
