God Questions

“What sorrow awaits the unjust judges and those who issue unfair laws. They deprive the poor of justice and deny the rights of the needy among my people. They prey on widows and take advantage of orphans. What will you do when I punish you, when I send disaster upon you from a distant land? To whom will you turn for help? Where will your treasures be safe? You will stumble along as prisoners or lie among the dead. But even then the Lord’s anger will not be satisfied. His fist is still poised to strike.” - ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭10‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Through the prophet, Isaiah, our Almighty God asked some powerful questions. When Jesus was questioned, he would often answer with a question. Think with me about three questions as if they were addressed to us:

1. If we continue in our sin, what will we do if God decides to discipline us?

2. When we are out of options, who will we turn to for help?

3. Where is the safest place to store up treasures?

If Christ is not your savior, these questions are as appropriate now as they were then. The bottom line is; without God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit there is no place to turn.

May we choose wisely this day whom we will serve!
