“Then God said, ‘Let Us make human beings in Our image, to be like Us’.” Genesis 1:21a
Did you know that you have value beyond your work or play? That is because God’s love for us is beyond measure. We, you and I, are treasured, but our value is notaccording to what we can contribute. God is perfect and mighty and holy. We cannot add anything to Him and all that He is. Yet, He loves us anyways. The Bible gives two strong proofs of our value to the Almighty.
First, He created you. Genesis 1 says that we were created to be like Him. That gives us value. Second, Jesus died on the Cross for us. Adam and Eve sinned, dooming us to die. But He loves us so much that He sent Jesus to die in our place, when He did not deserve it. He simply loves you that much.
“Lord, thank You for creating and loving me, despite my sin. Help me to live for you more each day, starting today. In Jesus’ name”
