Equipped by the Word

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work.” - ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

As we abide in Jesus, He continues to transform us—our priorities, attitudes, schedules, habits—everything! He does this until His Word is alive in us: liberating, transforming, and bearing fruit to bless others.

There are four essential aspects of God’s Word that mature and equip us for our daily journey:

God’s Word teaches us.

God’s Word rebukes us.

God’s Word corrects us.

We need teaching to understand what’s happening. We need rebuking to hit the brakes and change direction. We need correction to make straight paths for our feet.

God’s Word trains us.

The Bible gets us back on track and helps us stay there. God faithfully walks with us, equipping us through His Word for deeper intimacy with Him and lasting faithfulness.

Prayer and the Word are the secret sauce to a God-honoring journey with Christ.

Nothing else will do.
