Vital signs

God is my High Priest

Being bound by our flesh in life on earth, we face temptations and trials daily. It can be discouraging to believe that God is a distant observer to our temptations. However, Jesus was made human, like us, and faced every temptation – never sinning. He was the perfect High Priest, able to enter behind the curtain and make a final blood offering for sin, knowing what we face and able to help us in our own times of trial.

”Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.“

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Thank You, Jesus, that You made Yourself our great High Priest! Thank you that you know what it means to be tempted and that you made an offering for us so that sin would no longer overpower us. I am sorry for the times I have believed that I am alone and that You do not understand the temptations I face. Today I choose to believe that You are my High Priest and that You are a God who aids those who are being tempted. Please help me know in times of difficulty that You are merciful and faithful to the work you have finished on the cross. Amen.

Team Wade loves you and is praying for you!
