Persevering in His Promises

“And I said, ‘This is my fate; the Most High has turned his hand against me.’ But then I recall all you have done, O Lord; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭77‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I’m sure we all have had that season in our lives where we felt as though the Lord had turned his back on us or at least had turned a deaf ear to our prayers. But the older I’ve gotten, regardless of how long it may take to get a response to my prayer, I have seen the hand of God move so many times that I know without a doubt His promises are on their way. Yes, regardless of how long it takes, we must persevere in our prayers and in our faith because history has proven that His promises are true. Be encouraged today—don’t allow emotion to cloud your vision. May we stick to the promises of God, not to the feelings of our human flesh. May our focus remain on His faithfulness, and may all glory go to the one true living God.

Father, today allow us to see a manifestation of your glory. We long to see you.
