Vital signs- Sunday, January 15th, 2023

Do you ever feel like you just can’t escape your sinful nature? Sometimes we feel trapped by those old habits, fretting, because we seemingly cannot resist temptation. We feel like we keep making the same mistakes, over and over again - almost as if we are slaves to sin. On the cross, Jesus died to break sin's power over us. His death is enough! The truth is that sin is no longer our master – that’s a truth to be believed!

"knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has died is freed from sin.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Pray with me-

Thank You, Jesus, that I am completely set free from sin – that’s what You say, and I choose to believe this today. Where I am still doubting, and Satan is still tempting me to believe that sin is my master, I pray that You would help me believe Your truth instead. God, You alone know the pain that sin has brought into my life, my own sins, and the sins of others. I repent for my sins and put them on the cross, to death. You know how much I have tried on my own to be free, and now I believe that You have bought my freedom for me. Amen
