“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭18:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Moses prayed for 40 days and 40 nights to stop the wrath of God. His example is an encouragement to present day faith in its darkest hour.

Elijah repeated his prayer seven times before the rain clouds appeared on the horizon.

During his earthly life, Jesus spent many nights in prayer. In Gethsemane He presented the same petition three times with unshaken, submissive persistence. This called on every part of his soul and brought about tears and bloody sweat.

Jesus life victories were all won in hours of persistent prayer. He taught by example the importance of always and consistently praying.

Father, thank you for Jesus example of praying day and night and not giving up. Amen and Amen.
