Everything Belongs to God

“For all the animals of the forest are mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird on the mountains, and all the animals of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for all the world is mine and everything in it.” ‭‭- Psalms‬ ‭50‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Have you ever wondered why we work, labor, worry and fret as though God may not provide as he promised? As the Psalmist says, everything belongs to the Lord! We work and give to others and to the Lord as though our offerings are given because God is in need, but on the contrary, God is in need of nothing. Yes, we should work. Yes, we should give. But giving thanks is the sacrifice that truly honors the Lord. Staying on track, walking in obedience is what truly pleases the Lord. I believe with every fiber of my being that above all of the sacrifices that man can make to God, is that of reading His word, obeying His word, praying, and staying connected to the vine.

God desires to bless us with everything that’s His if only we will walk in obedience to his word.
