Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.” Matthew 7:24-25

The first time I worked out with the guys basketball team at Berry college this year I knew something was missing.

After a 20 year lay off from weights and 57 years of age i knew immediately that my core was weak. Someone once said “If the foundation is weak, the entire athlete is weak.”

The same is true with our spiritual life. Jesus tells us to go build a strong foundation in God’s Word, so we can survive and thrive in the storms of life. Since becoming serious about me faith journey i memorize key verses in the Bible. I still remember them today. God’s Word is “alive and active…” When you study it and put it into practice.

Don’t let the pressures of the day out weigh the pleasure!

Win the day!
