Vital signs- Wednesday, January 25th, 2023

Being a Christian means that we will often see evidence that our choices and actions are countercultural to our world. We live by a completely different set of guidelines for life – the rule and reign of the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. We have an eternal destiny and have evidence of that destiny in how we live now. The Bible calls us citizens of heaven.

“But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Pray with me-

Thank You, Lord, that my primary citizenship is in heaven – this is my eternal identity. Thank You that this is how You see me: a fellow citizen in the household of God. I am sorry for the times I have been caught up in thinking of myself as a citizen of earth, working too hard for what the world wants from me. I am sorry for thinking of myself as a stranger to You and Your Kingdom. Please help me to see myself with a heavenly identity. Lord, open my eyes to see others who are saved in the same way You see them. Teach me to have an eternal mindset. Thank You, Lord! Amen.
