Love That Proves

“You cannot claim to love God while closing your heart to the people God places in your life.” - Henri Nouwen

“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” - John 13:34 35 NLT

To say we love God but want nothing to do with people is a direct contradiction to what it means to follow Christ.

Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, then love your neighbor as yourself. This is the great commandment. Could our not loving people be a sign that we’re not loving ourselves the way God intended?

Time for a gut check and some time with the Father to make some corrections.
