Vital signs- Sunday, July 23rd, 2023

Bottom line we can move forward courageously toward the plans God has for us if we choose. We must embrace that our past does not disqualify us from the future God has in store! This is evident through Rahab the prostitute’s bold demonstration of faith.

Take time to read Joshua 2.

Why do you think Rahab risked her life to hide the spies? Why would she not just give them up?

Despite the odds being seemingly stacked against Rahab, she saw the evidence of Israel's God through their previous victories. Instead of giving into fear, she gave way to faith. She had so much faith in Israel’s God, she risked punishment by lying about the spies’ location to Jericho officials.

Just like Rahab, we cannot be caught up in our past sins (prostitution) and think that these shortcomings disqualify us from the future God has in store. Just as Rahab did, we can find deliverance through Jesus Christ, and God can use us as mighty vessels for His kingdom on earth.

Stop living in the past and step forward into God’s plans with courageous faith!

“And they said to Joshua, “Truly the Lord has delivered all the land into our hands, for indeed all the inhabitants of the country are fainthearted because of us.””

‭‭Joshua‬ ‭2‬:‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
