Vital signs- Saturday,November 7th,2020

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you”

This passage is about a time of uncertainty for the Israelites. Their leader Moses was coming to the end of his life and they as a tribe were just about to cross over the Jordan river into the promised land God had given them; a land they had never seen before, filled with people they knew nothing about. While having no idea what was to come next, Moses reminds them of God’s faithfulness by saying: “Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you”. 

Have you ever played the game where you are blind folded and someone has to lead you through an obstacle course? It's pretty scary putting your complete trust in someone to guide you without bumping into something or going the wrong way. But imagine not having them to guide you!! You would most definitely bump into something or go the wrong way if you didn't. In times where you feel insecure, uncertain or 'blind', stop and listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit because I promise you, He will be there ready to show you the right way to go. 

Do not be afraid because God promises that He is with you. Fix your focus on the victories God has brought you through in the past and lift your faith. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He has done it before and He will do it again.  God will always guide you through a difficult time. 

Prayer:

Thank You Lord that You are still with me, remind me of this every day. Help me stay courageous and keep my faith up in times of trouble and give me the words to help others do that same. Amen.
