March 24, 1869. 39-year-old John Wesley Powell attempted what was thought impossible, a blank spot on the map of America described as “unexplored.”

His dream was to be the first person to cross the Grand Canyon but traversing the Colorado River. The catch was, he nor his nine man crew had ever run a single rapid.

500 rapids and 1000 miles of river that was an all or nothing do or die mission. Once you enter the canyon the only way out then was on the other end.

Powell- 5’6” Tall - 120 pounds soaking wet. Minus a right arm lost in the Civil War. Powell the leader of this mission couldn’t row or swim.

Today Powell wouldn’t even qualify for a permit to run the river. One biographer described Powell as being a single minded as a chainsaw. That my friend is what it takes to accomplish the impossible! A True grit.

What are we willing to endure to achieve greatness? It is resilience in the face of rejection, fortitude in the face of fear that releases the God warrior inside of us.

James 1:8 says that a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Today may we refused double mindedness and put our hyper focus on Jesus!

Remember, you are God Warrior 👊
