“After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.”

‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This passage is following the death of Moses, and speaks of his replacement: Joshua.

But, in order for Joshua to embrace his God-given assignment, he had to let go of some things; and so do we. So many people live in the past— not enjoying the present—and consider the future with trepidation, if not outright fear. This causes them to neglect planning for the future.

What keeps you from embracing the future God has for you? Is it fear? Guilt? Uncertainty? In 2 Corinthians 5:17, it states that if we are in Christ, we are a new creature! Shouldn’t this mean we should look at things in a different light as well?

We do not have to let our past limit our future. We do not have to live in shame, guilt, and remorse. 1 John 1:9 states that when we come to God with our sins, He is faithful to forgive. Take your shortcomings to God and strive to follow His guidance and His guidance alone.

When you are following the omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent Lord of the universe, it should inevitably instill some courage in you—the courage to make it happen!

Team Wade loves you and is praying for you ❤️👊
