“Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?”

‭‭John‬ ‭14:8-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus tells the disciples that He is God the Son and the only way to God the Father. Philip does not fully understand Him yet, so he bluntly asks Jesus to show them the Father.  Jesus reiterates the truth – that He is one with God, fully God and fully man. The disciples would go on to spread this truth, and many of them would die for this truth.

Where might God want you to testify to the reality of Jesus’ light in this dark world?

Father God, give me the courage to go where You send me and to share Your message of truth with the lost.  Remove any fear of rejection, persecution, or ridicule. Lord, help me to exalt Your calling high above my fears, trusting that You will empower and equip me with all that I need to serve You faithfully. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

“I and My Father are one.””

‭‭John‬ ‭10:30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
