Vital signs- Monday, May 15th, 2023

God hears us when we pray. It is an amazing truth that we can walk in each and every day knowing that the very same God who created the world, hears us when we pray. Yet, it is more than God simply hearing us when we pray. It's the position in which He hears us from. He hears us as a loving Father who will be attentive to what we have to say. God cares when you speak to Him and He cares how you speak to Him. We address Him as Father which shows us the close relationship we have with Him, but we also address Him as Holy because He is perfect.

Today's scripture is often called the Lord's Prayer. This is the example Jesus gave on how we should pray.

Today we recognize God as absolute Holy and we rest in the fact that God hears us when we pray.

““Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’] For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬-‭15‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
