““So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.”
Luke 15:20 NLT
Jesus died on the cross and his father ripped the veil in two giving us access back to himself. But far too often we find ourselves stitching the curtain back up in the spirit that says he’s too holy for us to approach. It’s as though God is saying “don’t come to close.” We keep trying to re-create the Holy of Holies in the name of reference but the problem is it was God who ripped the curtain forever with His own two hands. May we allow this truth to enable our hearts to love Him more. By recalling the parable of the prodigal son Jesus explains how God wants to relate to us… He runs to us, he embraces us, he kisses us.
May the songs we sing ,the prayers we pray and the words we say truly reflect the way God loves us.
The curtain torn the separation is over forever and God runs to us.
Wow!
