Word of God-Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:17–20, NIV

Message from God-Allow my Spirit to have control of you. This is quite the opposite of losing control; it’s giving Me control. The fear losing control is simply an illusion, because you really don’t have control. I am in control—yesterday, today, and tomorrow—and I’ve never lost control. Even when your world seems to spin out of control, you can trust that I am holding all things together and working them for the good of My children. When you surrender to My Spirit's control, you will experience My peace—a peace that won’t make sense to onlookers who don’t know Me. When you saturate yourself in My love, I will pour out wisdom and influence on you with the life-giving fruit of My Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. When fear overwhelms you, seek My Spirit for the assurance of My peace.

Prayer-Spirit of God, I recognize I am not—and never have been—in control. I give You complete control and ask You to fill me with Your calming Spirit. May Your wisdom and power be the controlling influence in my life.
