Vital signs/ Wednesday, January 18th, 2023

How did God show us that we are to belong to Him? He chose to pay the ransom price that was over our heads through Jesus Christ. We had a debt to pay because of our sin, but it was paid for us, on our behalf– and now our life belongs to God! We are to live out the truth that we have been paid for, that we no longer belong to ourselves.

"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?”

Thank You for this truth, God, that You paid the price for me. You saw me, wanted me, and chose to give everything up so I could be with You. I repent for the times when I believed I belonged to myself and did things my way. Please forgive me. I choose to believe today that You bought me at full price: Your blood was enough. I belong to You now and not to myself or the world. Thank You for making me Your own so that I can glorify You. I pray You would protect my thoughts about myself, that when I think about myself, I would remember that You paid the full price for me to redeem me and that nothing can separate me from You. Amen.
